Fabricating the floor panels wasn’t an easy task at all, with most everything so rotted that where was much to measure
off of I just went at it on a fly. If I had only known that it was this bad of shape , what did I get my self into? besides
endless hours of fabricating and welding for weeks on end. So much for Becky’s and my free time for a while. We’ll
get a brake when the first swap meet is near to go look for some things we have on our "To Get List".

With no access to a bead roller for the new floors being installed I had cut some 1" strips of steel and bent them in a
V shape and welded them to the bottom after fitting all the pieces. It worked out well and gave plenty of support plus the
floor was nice and flat . I’ll tell ya it isn’t easy bending and forming any of the flooring and rockers that
were next as we approach this area along with the door post .

One thing I found out with this style body, that just about every body panel has at least 2 radius ’s both horizontal
and vertical and with this it is a bear making the panels /parts up with out lots of forming the shape to fit it. As you can
see in this pic there is about 40+ years of patching the rockers , door post and everything else .
