November is flying by and soon the temps are going down, just thinking about it gives me the chills.

Now that we just about have everything where we want it the location of the R&P is next on the agenda along with front
disc brakes and all the other bells and whistles. In this pic we hung the rack with some big nylon ties as Becky had enough
for a 14 hour day, I’ll proceed first thing in the AM while she takes a well deserved brake . So far it looks like the
R&P will work just about where its hanging, I have to fab some mounts after making templates to fit the frame rails, then
tack it in and mount it temporally until I can get the front rotors on and ponder the way things are going to marry up.

So far so good , early aftermarket nova hubs fit right on the OEM spindles , I just have to fab some hangers for the calipers
and see how it fits. Well ya know it looked great but a few dead ends struck me... I can’t mount the calipers inboard
as the steering arms will hit them( I learned this my mistake of mounting the rotors and cals and then putting the steering
arms on) O well, the wright brothers didn’t get off the ground the first time. I then had a brain storm and with "luck"
I can mount them on opposite sides which would make them out board and then they will be clear of the steering arms.
I just hope I don’t have to fab another set of mounting plates for the calipers......

I kept the engine and trans as low as I could so not to have a hump "trans tunnel"in the cab since the two floor boards
that came with the car were about the only thing that wasn’t rusted , I wanted to retain the original look . The bottom
of the trans pan in about one inch above the frame rail just B4 the X member. Looks to be out of harms way , and the linkage
and speedO cable will work out fine . Plus this will help with the center of gravity. The weight placement where everything
is situated now also seems to give balance from front to rear with the wheel base of the car next is to make it hook up but
also ride smooth. But that’s in another few weeks. I have to get this engine fired up by Thanks Giving Day or I’m
out a few cases of Bass Ale . Another dumb bet I went and made ;o(

Once all the front stuff is figured out the next issue is checking out the old radiator so I can get this
baby fired up. I’m going to temporality wire up the engine as my due date is near and we are getting tired of pushing
this car in and out of the shop!
