About Me

Time for a trip to get a 4x8' sheet of steel...

im000108.jpg

Just about got all the floor done in the trunk and it’s starting to shape up some, there is still a lot of prep work for Becky to get done as she follows up in the areas that have been done. I think the next step we are taking is going to the worst as you can see in the next picture, there isn’t much left and all of it has to be replaced and made up.

I say that the plasma cutter was one of the best tools I had purchased in a long time, it made cutting out the rusted flooring a snap. Beats the pants off the torch or cut off wheels, less heat no noise just push the trigger and go to town right through the rust , paint and under coating. I aks my self.....Why didn’t you get one of these a long time ago ?

In the picture below was a rough cut out of the rotted floor/s, we later fine tuned it to where we had some original gauge of the steel so we had a good welding point. But now it’s time to order a flange punch tool that can handle the job. After searching around for what I wanted I had ordered on online top of the line for my pocket. It handles 16 ga. and make this job a bit easer .
