About Me

The front fenders need to be reworked along with making some head light buckets . Plus I have to remove and install any patch work that was done over the years.

hlb.1.jpg

The head light buckets were in a 5 gal. bucket filled with water when they were in the old leaky shed, I couldn’t find a set any anywhere. The next move was to make a pair of them. This homemade up grade to a sealed beam worked out just fine. We’ll have nice bright light’s and can retain the original style that was a one year deal. I found a set of head light door’s/trim and the glass (a matched pair left and right) at the fall English town swap meet, for the price of 35 bux’s for the set. That was a deal !

Here’s a picture of the headlight bucket with the sealed beam and adjusters in it that I made . The head light and hardware were spare’s I had for my van, just hope I don’t hid a deer or something now that I used them on the coupe. They were a bit tricky to fab but I got them done in about 2 hours each.

Here’s a picture of the headlight bucket with the glass and trim ring, it look’s good , now I just have to mount them and pull the front tin to finish the sheet metal work . Soon we will be putting her back together for the final time . "I couldn’t be any happier to see that day" It sure of would be nice to have a big shop to work on this project ! Did I mention a LIFT?

It’s now December 22, 2004 and just 2 day’s until Becky’s birthday, so I guess I’ll be out here for the holiday working by myself for the most part.
