About Me

With the nose off I figured I would give the firewall some gloss black paint and then push it out side and cover it up.

We’re now in the middle of January and there isn’t going to be any nice weather for a while, the temps are dropping and it’s getting real cold. It’s time to crank up the heat. For the next week or so this will give me time  to work on the front fenders and stitch up all the trim holes and get everything  ready for some color in the month/s to come. There is much to do on the front tin, as you can see .

Since I didn’t want to go with running boards "wanted a different look"and as you can see the fender sections were in need of major repair. I started out with 16 ga. Sheet metal and hand formed "beat it with a hammer"the lower ends for the fenders "both front and rear" this took some time and that we had some of since the snow’s that hit us off and on. The fenders are in sad shape where the mount to the lower cowl also.

The weather forecast is calling for a major snow storm this  3rd week , hey.. It’s winter !
